Thanks to all the volunteers at the Livestrong Powerstop!
Thank you to all the MVA volunteers who came to run the MVA Power Stop at Marymoor Park for the 2009 edition of the Livestrong Challenge in Seattle. The Livestrong Challenge is the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s signature event and helps raise money in their efforts to unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer. Sunday’s event raised just over $1 million in their fight to cure cancer
Hundreds of dedicated cyclists rode through the Marymoor Powerstop on the 100 mile loop. The nutritional, hydration, medical and emotional support provided by volunteers made this challenging ride a little easier. Seeing the number of dedicated riders, especially the cancer survivors and people riding in memory of somebody taken by cancer was amazing and inspirational.
