Starting this Thursday, some of Marymoor’s very own will take their game on the road to Trexlertown, Pennsylvania to compete in the USA Cycling Juniors Track National Championship. We thought we would take this opportunity to get behind our young athletes and introduce each of them to you all – that way it’ll be easier to cheer for them!

Introducing the cast!
- Brennan Hodgins, age 12, is on his way to his first National Championship. At his age, he is gear restricted to a 48×17, so you’ve probably seen him spinning around the track like a mad man! Look for him to do some impressive racing as the youngest represenative we’re sending this year.
- Stacey Giuffre, age 16, will be participating in her second National Championship this year. Stacey regularly races with the cat 1/2/3 women on Friday nights and pulls out victories even with her 48×15 gear, so we know she’s fast.
- Erik Philipson and Mike Jors, age 16, have a bit in common – they will be racing in the same races, they are both 16 years old, and this is both their first trip to a National Championship. We are all excited to see what kind of success they can have together in T-Town!
- Harrison Devine, age 17, is also going for his first trip to Nationals, but that might come as a surprise to anyone who knows him. This kid is fast! We see him getting off the front of our elite men fields so Marymoor already knows he’s got what it takes.
- Amara Edwards – the 25 year old will return back to Junior Track Nationals but as a coach this time, not a rider. Amara participated in 6 Junior Track Nationals and accumulated 11 medals, however never won the elusive national championship jersey. Perhaps she can live vicariously through one of these juniors!
But these juniors aren’t all business – they have some fun once in a while too! Coach Amara can barely be seen hiding behind Brennan there.
