Marymoor Grand Prix This Week!!

The entire cycling community is buzzing with excitement… the fans have waited an entire year for the opening day… the fastest in the world of cycling are going to be featured…  What, the Tour de France?!?  No, silly.  It’s the Marymoor Grand Prix!
 

The biggest track race in the Northwest is coming to Redmond next Friday, July 19th!  That’s right, the Premier Event on the USA Cycling National Track calendar is at the Marymoor Velodrome this Friday.  Two days from now, the fastest athletes on two wheels from all over will be fighting for top dog, and everyone is invited to come share in the excitement.
 
Not sold on coming out yet?  Here’s a short list of highlights regarding the schedule for next weekend:
  • Both evening schedule feature Sprint finals, Keirins, a Madison and some awesome mass-start events.  Evening sessions start at 7:00 PM.
  • The prize payout is evenly split between the elite men and women fields.  
  • There is a $500 payout to break the flying 200m record!

Still need more convincing?  Fine, we’ve got Olympian level participation!  Among our extremely talented fields, we have two-time Olympian and silver medalist (2012) Sarah Hammer, two-time Olympian Jame Carney, two-time Olympian Giddeon Massie and New Zealand Olympian Rushlee Buchanan.  And if these champs are on their way, you know it’s going to be one heck of a good show.

What’s that? I still need to sweeten the deal?  What if I told you we have Mac & Jack’s, Patterson Cellars and Seattle Biscuit Company to bring their declicious fare out to the park?  Now we’re talking…

All of us at the MVA can’t wait to have you join us for the “Fastest Show on Two Wheels” next week.  Don’t wait until next week to spend a night at the track – come out and cheer tonight for Friday night racing.  

Spectator Admission is $5, kids under 16 are free.  
 
Racing starts at 7pm both nights, beer garden opens at 6:30.
