The MVA Youth Cycling Program introduces participants ages 9-14 to the sport of track cycling through classes that focus on safety, skills and track cycling basics. We offer classes throughout the summer that are taught by experienced coaches and national level racers. Juniors 16 and older are encouraged to take part in our adult classes. Camp Velo is a fun, highly engaged experience for young riders to get into the sport. Taught over the course of a week, kids will learn the fundamentals of riding a track bike and competing at the velodrome. Skills taught include:

  • Safety
  • Bike handling
  • Race formats
  • Starting and stopping
  • Track bike specifics
  • And more!
