Masters Natz Recap

posted in: Uncategorized 0

Masters Nationals came to a close this past Sunday, and it was a long week filled with great successes and awesome racing action. Many of those awesome victories went to local Washington competitors, perhaps none more exciting than Ian Mensher’s super close photo finish in the 35-39 Scratch Race (pictured in this article, credit GC Racing for the photo).

That picture is easily worth a thousand words, so this link to DBC Photo and the huge galleries of great racing action caught by our local talent is worth volumes and volumes of words. Whether you were hoping to reminisce about the great experience or maybe you were hoping to remember a bit of the excitement, DBC Photo caught a TON of the racing!

Check out the link here!

We’re suspecting some people reading this might also be searching for race results. USA Cycling hosts those on their website. Here’s a convenient link to several of their end-of-day write-ups and to their results pages.

Another thanks to the volunteers that helped make Masters Natz a possibility. Your work made it all possible.

MVA Town Hall Meeting

posted in: Uncategorized 0
As many of you know, there has been a passionate debate about MVA Board decisions over the past two months…particularly with regard to moto usage and Board structure.  In the absence of information, it is human nature to write a negative story.  In an effort to break this cycle, the Board will hold a Town Hall on Thursday August 14th (details below).  We will provide a summary of the Board’s responsibilities, the actions it has taken to meet those obligations and provide an open forum for members to voice questions, concerns and solutions.

The issues with which we struggle affect the entire Association.  They impact the short and long terms goals of the community.  They impact our relationship with King County and whether the velodrome will survive Light Rail.  And they impact the ability to recruit and retain qualified, motivated board members to lead us in the future.

Please join us in this important discussion.

All The Best,
