Want to follow all the action as it unfolds?  Be sure not to miss the 2014 Grand Prix on July 25th and 26th at the Velodrome.  There’s even a facebook event already in place so you can invite your friends and family!  Speaking of facebook, you should definitely like our Fan Page and stay up-to-date about all things Marymoor.

Also, the official Marymoor Grand Prix Website has been slightly updated to reflect the new information for this year.  Race registration will eventually be up on this site, but you can already find the e-mails for who to contact for housing, the download links for our poster and race flier, as well as our sponsors.  It’s a good place to favorite if you’re interested in the progress on this years’ event.

Clinic Registration Now Live!

Race clinics are yet another way to get in some valuable practice on the track.  Designed for riders who have already taken our rider classes, the clinics will get participants up to speed on different types of track racing and provide helpful insight from people that know the track well.

If you’re interested in signing up for a clinic, head over to the information page and check out the dates.  Please note that clinics will be made up on the following Wednesday in case of rain (watch twitter and e-mails as the date gets closer).

  • New Rider Clinics, a new addition for 2014, are designed to offer riders that have recently completed the track class (Cat 5 men, Cat 4 women) another opportunity to receive general advice and practice at warm-ups and riding technique.  These are the 1st, 3rd and sometimes 5th Sunday of every month from May to August, 4-6 PM.  There is no pre-registration available for these clinics – they only cost $10!
  • The Sprint Clinic (May 7th) will focus on tactics and preparation specific to match sprints and sprinting events.  This course will be taught by Olympian Jennie Reed!
  • Team Sprint and Team Pursuit Clinics (June 22nd, June 21st and August 16th) are two different clinics that each offer practice and guidance in forming successful sprint and pursuit teams.
  • And finally, the Madison Clinics (May 21st and June 8th) provides valuable practice at the infamous Madison exchange.  See below for what we’ll help you NOT do!

Think you’d like to give these races a closer look?  Make sure to register online now!

Sponsor Search

Dear loyal Marymoor Velodrome fans, racers and family members, we are looking for additional sponsors for the upcoming 2014 season.  More sponsors means more premes and money to go around to velodrome community!  Sponsorship options start as low as $500 and extend all the way up to “Title Sponsorship” (The “your name here” Velodrome, essentially).  Remember sponsors don’t have to be cycling related – they can be close family friends, sponsors of your personal racing team or your favorite place to eat!  Besides financial contributions we will also take merchandise to hand out for rider or spectator premes.  See below for some examples of where we can plaster up a sponsor name around the track.

If you or you think you know someone that would be interested, please send them our sponsorship proposal.  If you have any questions feel free to contact marketing@velodrome.org.
