The Kick-off is a special event for launching our regular season racing! Friday Night is basically another Friday Night, which is already pretty awesome! Saturday morning is a time trial session, with no registration cost (but suggested donations). Saturday afternoon @ 2PM is another evening race program with mass start events. Help us get our race season started in style and sign-up today!

Racing is dependent on the weather – in case of a rain-out, you will be credited based on the number of events you registered for automatically.

Timed Events:
All racers who have completed a track class are eligible for timed events.

Mass Start Events:

  • Elite Men (Category 1-3) and Women (Category 1-4). Will not be scored separately by category.
  • Masters Men 35-49 (Category 1-3), Masters Men 50+ (Category 1-4), Masters Women 35+ (Category 1-4). Will be raced as listed on the schedule, but scored separately by 5-yr age grouping.

Match Sprints:

  • Elite Men (Category 1-3) and Women (Category 1-4). Will not be scored separately by category.
  • Master Men 35-44, 45-54, 55+ (Cat 1-4) & Master Women (Cat 1-4)

Keirin:

  • Elite Men (must be Cat 3) & Elite Women (must be Cat 4, raced with Master Women scored separately)\
  • Master Men 35-49 (must be Cat 3, not scored separately), Master Men 50+ (must be Cat 4, not scored separately), Master Women (must be Cat 4, raced with Elite Women scored separate but not scored by 5-year age group)

What to Bring: USA Cycling or UCI License, a fixed gear track bike with no brakes and an approved helmet. Be prepared for varying weather conditions with extra warm clothes. Rental bikes are available to Cat 4 and Junior riders only. Tents and shade providing fixtures are also highly encouraged.

Cost: Elites/Masters – $10 per event, $5 for Team Sprint and Team Pursuit. U23 – $5 per event. Rental bikes are $10 per day and are available to category 4 riders only. People will register online and pay onsite when they check-in first.

Registration: Online Registration is required. You must check in prior to the times below, unless specifically stated differently by the race director (possible for TT session and sprints, check your welcome email). REGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT 6/26.

Session #1 (Friday Evening) 6:30pm Racing starts at 7pm
Session #2 (Saturday Morning) 9:30am Racing starts at 10am
Session #3 (Saturday Evening) 4:30pm Racing starts at 5pm

Prizes: Regional championship medals (3 deep) will be awarded to residents of Washington, Idaho, Oregon and British Colombia for every championship race.

Race Numbers: Regular JBMV numbers will be worn, if you do not have any, you will be issued some during check-in. Numbers will be worn on both sides except timed events where one is needed.
NOTE: No gear restrictions!

Fred C Rehberger Team Omnium Trophy: The USAC registered Washington state team with the highest number of top three placings across all categories (elite/masters/juniors) wins the Washington State Team Omnium Award (Fred’s Trophy). Team and all riders must be USAC registered in Washington State and reflected on their USAC license. There are no exceptions or “guest” riders. Composite teams are not eligible for competition. Riders are only eligible for one point per event raced, i.e., if a rider races the elite and masters individual pursuit and gets podiums in both, only one point will count towards the team omnium trophy.

Sanction: USA Cycling permit #pending. All racers must have USA Cycling license or UCI license. All racers must have a current USA Cycling license (annual or one-day) which can be purchased at www.usacycling.org (not for sale at the race). No one day licenses available onsite, must purchase online beforehand. All riders must have prior track experience, completed the Intro Track class or have permission of Chief Referee and/or Race Director to compete.

NOTE: The combining of race categories and altering length of race are subject to change under the discretion of the chief referee, race director and/or promoter based on participation or other situations as necessary. See velodrome website and social media for changes.
