The Sunday Afternoon Racing series is a new addition in 2021! Sunday races happen once or twice a month and offer another USA Cycling Sanctioned evening for racers to compete. Cat 1/2/3 Men, 1/2/3/4 Women, Cat 4 Men, Sprinters, and Juniors will compete in a race series.
ATRA sanctioned racing for Beginner riders will begin after the final race category has completed.
Currently scheduled dates (always check the calendar!) are June 13, June 27, July 4, Aug 29.

Who?
Sunday Night invites a wide range of riders and categories out to compete. Categories include Cat 1/2/3 Men, Cat 1/2/3/4 Women, Cat 4 Men, Sprinters, Juniors, and Beginners. Beginner racing will be held after the completion of all other competitive events.
When?
Roughly one Sunday a month from May through August. Current dates are June 13, June 27, July 4, Aug 29. Online Pre-registration for racing is required, open from Noon to 12:40. Registration closes 24 hours before racing. Racing starts at 1:00 PM. Arrive early in order pay for parking, register, attach bib numbers, and get adequate warm-up time.
Cost?
Sunday Night registration costs $25 per adult registrant, $15 per collegiate, $10 per junior and beginner. Membership costs $80 ($40 for collegiate, juniors and new riders). Cat 4 Men and Women - a racing gear of 86 (48x15) or equivalent of 22' 3" rollout is required of all riders.
Racing License and Fees
- A current USA Cycling license is required
- Race Fee: Adults $35
- Race Fee: Collegiate $25
- Race fee: Juniors $20
- Annual MVA membership - $80 for adults, $40 for collegiate, juniors, new riders and out of state.
- All members receive a $10 discount for registration.
Rental Bikes
Rental bikes are available on Sunday afternoons at a fee of $10/day. Rental bike users must sign a waiver form and keep on file with the Velodrome.
